The testamentary petitions are undertaken under the Indian succession act 1925 and broadly, they can be categorized into two forms. Testament to succession and intestate succession.
When there is a written will then at that time, testamentary succession kicks in and when there is no written will then intestate succession kicks in.
Testamentary can be further classified as
Wills, Codicils, Probates, Letter of Administration, Succession & Heir ship.
